AirAsia launches direct flight route between Nha Trang and Kuala Lumpur.

AirAsia continues to expand its Southeast Asian connections with its 54th exclusive direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Nha Trang. This inaugural flight also marks another milestone for the airline, as AirAsia is the first airline to offer a direct route to Nha Trang from Malaysia.

The inaugural flight received a very positive response with 93% of seats booked. The route launch ceremony was held at Cam Ranh International Airport, welcoming the first flight AK204 to Nha Trang. The flight landed at 11:35 AM today and was greeted with a ceremonial water salute. On board were Dato' Fam Lee Ee, Member of the Board of Directors of AirAsia Berhad; Spencer Lee, Commercial Director of AirAsia Berhad; and a group of journalists from Malaysia, Australia, and Singapore, who will later participate in a program exploring the beautiful coastal city of Nha Trang.

 

 

Alongside this momentous event, a press conference was held in Nha Trang with the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Minh Tai, Deputy Director of Cam Ranh Airport; Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa, CEO of SAGS at Cam Ranh Airport; Ms. Le Thi Hoang Oanh, Deputy Director of SAGS Saigon; Mr. Dato' Fam Lee Ee, Member of the Board of Directors of AirAsia Berhad; and Mr. Spencer Lee, Commercial Director of AirAsia Berhad.

Passengers can use connecting flights to link with other flights, and luggage will be delivered to the final destination without the hassle of procedures at transit airports. With this service, travelers can fly from Nha Trang to 8 countries with 23 cities including Johor Bahru, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Langkawi, Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Bandung, Surabaya, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Changsha, Xi'an, Wuhan, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Sydney, Perth, Maldives, Colombo and Tiruchirappalli, via Kuala Lumpur.

AirAsia also connects passengers from other cities in Vietnam to Kuala Lumpur, including Ho Chi Minh City with 42 weekly flights; Da Nang with 10 weekly flights; and Hanoi with 11 weekly flights.
