AirAsia opens direct flight from Nha Trang to Kuala Lumpur

AirAsia continues to expand its Southeast Asian connectivity with its 54th exclusive direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Nha Trang. The inaugural flight also marks another milestone for the airline as AirAsia is the first airline to fly directly to Nha Trang from Malaysia.

The inaugural flight received a very positive response with 93% of seats booked. The inaugural flight was held at Cam Ranh International Airport to welcome the inaugural flight AK204 to Nha Trang. The flight landed at 11:35 AM today and was greeted with a water cannon salute. On board the flight were Dato' Fam Lee Ee, Board Member of AirAsia Berhad; Spencer Lee, Commercial Director of AirAsia Berhad; and a group of journalists from Malaysia, Australia and Singapore who will then join a tour to explore the beautiful coastal city of Nha Trang.

 

 

Along with this important event, in Nha Trang, a press conference took place with the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tai, Deputy Director of Cam Ranh Airport, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa, CEO of SAGS at Cam Ranh Airport, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Oanh - Deputy Director of SAGS Saigon, Mr. Dato' Fam Lee Ee, Member of the Board of Directors of AirAsia Berhad; and Mr. Spencer Lee, Commercial Director of AirAsia Berhad.

With this service, travelers can fly from Nha Trang to 8 countries with 23 cities including Johor Bahru, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Langkawi, Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Bandung, Surabaya, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Changsha, Xi'an, Wuhan, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Sydney, Perth, Maldives, Colombo and Tiruchirappalli, via Kuala Lumpur.
