Airasia receives award for top low-cost airline.

At the World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania regional ceremony, AirAsia was once again honored as Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline for the fourth time, and also received the award for Asia's Leading In-Flight Service.

Asia's largest airline by passenger volume and fleet size has been honored as the region's leading low-cost airline, surpassing other carriers such as Jetstar Airways, West Air, GoAir, JetKonnec, Air India Express, Nok Air, and FireFly.

AirAsia also won in the category of Leading In-Flight Service in Asia, beating traditional airlines such as Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, China Southern Airlines, Air India, and Hong Kong Airlines.

The World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania ceremony is held to honor and reward travel organizations in the Asia Pacific region, based on the selection of travel experts and customers who use travel services.

Airlines are evaluated based on customer satisfaction and service quality, overall business performance, product innovation, employee development opportunities and relationships, social responsibility and contribution, commitment to sustainable development policies, and fulfillment of long-term visions.

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes He stated: “It is a great honor to be recognized as Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the fourth time. This once again confirms AirAsia as the best low-cost airline in the region.”

AirAsia has also been nominated in six categories at the World Travel Awards ceremony, which will be held in the Maldives this December.These categories are: Best Low-Cost Airline in the World, Best In-Flight Service in the World, Best Flight Crew in the World, Best Low-Cost Airline Website in the World, Best Low-Cost Airline Mobile App in the World, and Most Efficient Low-Cost Airline in the World.
