At 11:00 AM on March 22nd, direct flight QH23, on the Hanoi - London route, took off from Noi Bai International Airport, officially inaugurating Bamboo Airways' regular commercial direct flight route between Vietnam and the UK.
The airline's Vietnam-UK flights are operated using wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with passengers arriving and departing from Heathrow Airport. With a direct flight time of just over 12 hours, these flights will save passengers nearly 7 hours compared to connecting flights.
Bamboo Airways will operate direct flights between Vietnam and the UK with a frequency of 2 flights per week initially, and may gradually increase the frequency according to market demand.

In particular, to celebrate the launch of this new international route, the airline is also offering direct flights at prices starting from only 2.319 million VND/one-way (excluding taxes and fees). "This is an unprecedented promotional price for international intercontinental direct flights, offered by Bamboo Airways as a token of gratitude to customers who have trusted and chosen us," a representative of the airline said.
Mr. Dang Tat Thang, General Director of Bamboo Airways, shared: "As the first private airline in Vietnam to operate direct flights between Vietnam and the UK, we hope to further increase connectivity between the two countries, bringing Vietnam closer to the United Kingdom and vice versa."

“We expect that Bamboo Airways’ regular direct commercial flights from the UK’s central airport to Vietnam will help British businesses increase their access to the highly potential Vietnamese market, and offer passengers more diverse opportunities to experience attractive destinations in the country,” shared the Commercial Director of Heathrow International Airport.
The Hanoi-London route is the next regular direct flight to Europe that Bamboo Airways has operated since the beginning of the year. Prior to this, Bamboo Airways also launched a regular direct flight connecting Vietnam and Germany. With Vietnam fully reopening to international tourism from March 15th, Bamboo Airways plans to expand its international flight network to 40 routes in 2022.
