On the morning of August 15, 2014, the opening ceremony of the 6th annual HWP Wedding and Honeymoon Tourism Exhibition took place at the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, 360 Kim Ma Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. The exhibition was organized by Travellive Magazine in collaboration with the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel; sponsored by VP Bank, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), and Vietnam Airlines, which was the sole transportation sponsor. The exhibition ran from 9:00 AM on August 15-17, 2014, at the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel. Admission was free.
At the opening ceremony, representatives from the Organizing Committee cut a giant wedding cake, symbolizing the sweetness and purity of love, to share with all the guests. The cake, measuring 1.6m x 1.6m, was adorned with 2,500 beautiful white roses and 1,000 other fresh flowers. This unique creation, from preparation to completion, took approximately 48 hours and was the result of the meticulous and passionate work of Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen, the pastry chef of the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel. Notably, a diamond ring was hidden inside the cake for the lucky guest – a meaningful gift at the opening ceremony. The ring carried a message of love, emphasizing that everyone needs to be loved and would bring good fortune in love to whoever received it. And amidst the exciting anticipation of everyone, the ring finally found its owner: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung. It is known that he participated in the exhibition with his future bride, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien.
Inside the cake was a diamond ring with a hidden love message.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee presented the diamond ring to the luckiest winner, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung.
Mr. Stephen John Alexander – General Manager of Hanoi Daewoo Hotel – poured champagne to officially open the exhibition.
The opening ceremony of the HWP Wedding Exhibition 2014 kicked off a series of exciting activities, attracting young couples in love during the three days of the exhibition. One of the prominent accompanying activities was the "Perfect Couple" game show, taking place from August 15th to 17th, with many attractive prizes.
Leading names in Vietnamese showbiz and Vietnam Next Top Model, such as Miss Vietnam 2012 runner-up Hoang Anh, supermodel Hong Que, and Miss World Sports 2014 runner-up Pham Huong, will appear in the wedding fashion show at 7 PM on August 15th and 16th at the exhibition grounds. The show will showcase the latest fashion trends and wedding collections from leading brands such as Julia, Mju Studio, Altamoda, Au Co, John Kim, Juliette, Moza, Caroll-D…
Also during the Wedding Fashion Show, V-Pop fans will have the opportunity to enjoy romantic love songs performed by the famous male singer Tuan Hung at the "Mini Live Show and Meet and Greet with Singer Tuan Hung". Especially, 10,000 copies of the HWP 2014 Wedding Catalogue, Volume 2, will be released and given away free to all visitors to the exhibition.
