The Vietnam Women's Museum is a place that preserves and displays artifacts related to the history, culture, and art of Vietnamese women.

Located at 36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, the Vietnam Women's Museum is conveniently situated near famous landmarks such as Ho Guom Lake, the Old Quarter, and the Temple of Literature, making it easily accessible for tourists. With a 1,200 square meter exhibition area, modern design, and rich content, the museum is always a top choice for visitors celebrating International Women's Day on March 8th.

The museum has five floors, each displaying a different theme, but primarily focusing on three main themes: "Women in the Family," "Women in History," and "Women's Fashion." Each theme is further divided into several smaller sub-topics.

On the second floor, themed "Women in the Family," visitors will learn about Vietnamese women through topics such as marriage, childbirth, and family life. How did Vietnamese women in the past give birth, how did they care for and raise their children, what were the customs and traditions during the baby's first birthday, engagement ceremony, and wedding ceremony, and how did the wedding attire of different ethnic groups differ?... All these questions will be answered through eye-catching and impressive exhibits and realistic documentary films with a strong humanistic message.

The third floor, themed "Women in History," offers visitors the opportunity to learn about Vietnamese women throughout different historical periods, such as 1930-1945, 1945-1954, and 1954-1975, famous Vietnamese women in history, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and portraits of contemporary women. It highlights women's contributions to the struggle for national independence, the glorious achievements of courageous and resilient women, and more. The "Women's Fashion" section on the fourth floor provides visitors with fascinating experiences related to the custom of chewing betel nut to dye teeth, traditional costumes of women from various ethnic groups, and jewelry and makeup worn by women in the past.

Since 2012, the Vietnam Women's Museum has consistently been listed among Hanoi's most attractive tourist destinations by Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel website.
