Countries and regions whose travel bans to the EU have been lifted include Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Lebanon, the United States, as well as the Chinese territories of Taiwan, Macau, and Hong Kong.
Previously, on June 11, EU countries agreed to ease travel restrictions this summer, allowing fully vaccinated travelers to travel without testing or quarantine and expanding the list of EU regions deemed safe.

These new regulations come as more than 25% of EU adults have been fully vaccinated and over 1 million people in the EU have received a Covid-19 Digital Certificate.
Many countries that were once Covid-19 hotspots in Europe are reopening, such as France, Spain, Greece, Portugal, and Italy.
Recently, the European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favor of the EU Digital Covid-19 Certificate – a travel document that will allow travelers to freely move across borders within the bloc starting in early July.
For months, the 27 EU member states lacked a unified travel policy or border opening policy. However, this issue now appears to be resolved with vaccination certificates. These certificates contain QR codes with high security features, allowing people to travel between European countries without quarantine or testing upon arrival. Several EU countries have already started using the system, including Spain, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Poland. The rest are expected to start using it by July 1st.
