One of the key components of the Air Corridor project is the cooperation agreement signed between Air Mauritius and Changi Airport Group (CAG) to promote trade at both ends. Air Mauritius currently operates three weekly flights between the island nation of Mauritius and Singapore. Flight frequency will increase as demand grows.

The Air Corridor project connects the two hubs by utilizing a Mauritius-Singapore route and linking to transit flights from Africa/Southwest Indian Ocean on the Mauritius side, and the Asian region towards Singapore.
The Air Corridor project has four main parts:
• Operate direct flights between Mauritius and Singapore and vice versa.
• Asia-Mauritius and vice versa routes connecting to Asian cities via Changi Airport in Singapore.
Routes from Africa/Southwest Indian Ocean to Singapore and vice versa. Routes from Singapore to Africa may include a free overnight stay in Mauritius.
• Routes from Asia to Africa and vice versa that can give you a vacation with more than two destinations on a single flight.

Air Mauritius has also signed several agreements with partner airlines allowing it to provide two-way connections to 18 cities in 10 countries from Changi Airport, including: China (Shanghai), Hong Kong, Australia (Perth and Sydney), Indonesia (Jakarta, Denpasar, Medan and Pekanbaru), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kota Kinabalu), Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket and Samuels), South Korea (Seoul), Philippines (Manila), Cambodia (Phnom Penh) and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City).
Additionally, Singapore Airlines and Air Mauritius signed a joint venture agreement in October 2016, under which Singapore Airlines would add the code 'SQ' to Air Mauritius' flights on the route between Singapore and Mauritius.

Air Mauritius currently operates a fleet of 13 aircraft flying to 24 destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the southwestern Indian Ocean region. It offers 2 million seats and carries approximately 1.5 million passengers annually. The airline has established routes to Africa, Asia, and Australia via hubs in Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Mumbai, Johannesburg, Nairobi, and Perth.
Air Mauritius also flies to destinations outside of these hubs through partnerships with airlines such as Air France and Emirates, giving passengers more choices.
