Singapore - The Lion Island always knows how to surprise visitors and make big holidays special. And the National Day on August 9th every year is a typical example. The whole country seems to be wearing a new coat. August 9, 2024 marks the 59th anniversary of Singapore's separation from Malaysia, officially becoming an independent and sovereign nation.
