Heavy rains submerged a trail in Brazil.

In January and February, Brazil experiences continuous heavy rains that cause widespread flooding. In Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata, near the southwestern town of Bonito, a sudden downpour submerged the forest in water.

Waldemilson Vera is the man who submerged what was once a primeval forest to capture images of the colorful underwater forest. Every path, bridge, and creature comes alive in the water. Unlike other flooded areas, the water here is crystal clear, reflecting light and creating a magically beautiful scene.

To date, the video has garnered nearly 2 million views since being uploaded to YouTube on February 19th. Many have been amazed by the surreal nature of the setting.

Indeed, Soulfully commented under the video: “Everything is so beautiful and magical floating in the water. It looks like a whole different world.”

And Tofu Platter added, "This is probably one of the most interesting scenes I've ever seen."

A caption was added below the video, announcing that the flood did not last long. About three days later, the forest had returned to its familiar appearance.
