This year, the tournament features four competing teams: Khanh Hoa, Cam Ranh, Hue, and Da Nang. Despite being a latecomer, in their very first year competing, the Da Nang team, under the skillful guidance of coach Mai Van Duc, achieved a resounding victory in 2016 in their hometown.
This year, despite playing away in Khanh Hoa, the Da Nang team, with sound tactics, strong team spirit, and high discipline, fought harder than their opponents and convincingly won the championship one round early.
At the end of the tournament, Da Nang won the championship, Khanh Hoa came second, and Hue came third, also winning the Fair Play award. Da Nang's Ho Ngoc Linh won the Best Player award. The top scorer award went to Tran Vinh Phong of Khanh Hoa. The best goalkeeper award went to Nguyen Huu An of Da Nang.
