Director of the Taiwan Tourism Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Mr. Tony Wu said that tourists from Asian countries will be exempted from visa procedures to enter Taiwan for 7 days if registering in groups of 5 people or more.

The fee for a Taiwan visa is 50 USD for cases obtained after 5 working days, 75 USD for cases obtained after 2 working days. In addition, citizens of 5 countries Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, India and the Philippines with valid visas from the US, Canada, UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Schengen visas (including permanent residence cards) will be exempt from visas to enter Taiwan. However, visitors need to register online for approval before boarding the plane and entering the country.
Citizens of five countries, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, India and the Philippines, are also exempted from submitting financial proof and employment proof if they register for tours at designated travel companies or group tours for businesses.
According to Mr. Wu, tourists coming to Taiwan also have the opportunity to receive subway tickets, park tickets or hot springs... depending on the time of travel.
