As part of the activities of the Vietnam International Tourism Fair (VITM 2017), on the afternoon of April 8, 2017, a program to promote Taiwan tourism in Vietnam with the theme “Time for Taiwan” took place in Hanoi. The event was organized by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in coordination with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam.

Attending the event were Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Mr. Tony Wu, Director of Taiwan Tourism Bureau Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Mr. Hoang Doan Trung, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Doan Trung said that with many preferential policies such as free conditional entry visas and simplified visa application procedures for tourist groups from 5 countries including Vietnam, it has helped Vietnamese tourists to travel to Taiwan easily and conveniently. These are also favorable conditions that contribute to opening up many cooperation opportunities between travel agencies of Vietnam and Taiwan.

With the hope of attracting the attention of Vietnamese tourists, the program introduced information about cultural tourism, shopping tourism, culinary tourism, eco-tourism, etc. and useful experiences when traveling to Taiwan for delegates, especially young people who love and plan to explore Taiwan in the near future.
