The commemoration began with a flag-raising ceremony accompanied by the resounding roar of 21 cannon shots fired by the ceremonial artillery team at Bach Dang Wharf.
Earlier, starting at 6:30 a.m., the final preparations for this special artillery display were being urgently completed by the relevant authorities. Every detail was meticulously checked, from the placement of the cannons and the firing direction, to the seamless coordination between the artillerymen, ensuring the performance would be perfect and dignified.

The artillery positions were arranged scientifically and majestically along Ton Duc Thang Street, stretching approximately 90 meters, forming a magnificent line facing the Saigon River. To achieve this spectacular and meaningful artillery display, the elite artillery forces had been diligently practicing for over two weeks beforehand. From controlling the cannons and adjusting the firing direction to coordinating seamlessly between the gun crews, everything was done seriously and professionally, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility and thorough preparation for this momentous national event.
