Monster Truck is crafted by the talented director Chris Wedge – the creator of the hit animated film series "Ice Age". The lead role is played by Lucas Till – an actor who has appeared in many teen films and most recently in X-Men: Days of Future Past – alongside the beautiful young actress Jane Levy. The story follows the encounter and shared journey of a young man and a speed-enhancing octopus monster named Creech. From the glimpses in the trailer, Monster Truck showcases many visually stunning action sequences that rival famous car-themed films like The Italian Job (2003) or the Fast & Furious series.
With its compelling storyline, talented cast, and spectacular special effects, Monster Truck promises to bring a fresh new flavor to the 2017 Lunar New Year film season. The theme of Monster Truck will certainly be more accessible and appealing to younger audiences. For older viewers, the film will evoke a sense of nostalgia and bring back childhood memories.
Monster Truck will be released nationwide on February 3rd, 2017 in both 3D and 2D formats. Audiences will also have the opportunity to enjoy the film before its official release with Early Screenings, scheduled to begin on January 29th, 2017.
