As part of the series of events of the Vietnam Tourism - Cinema Promotion Program in Los Angeles (USA), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) organized a workshop to introduce the potential of Vietnam Tourism - Cinema.
The event was attended by famous directors and film producers such as: Director Oliver Stone; Director of the film “The Quiet American” Phillip Noyce; Set Director of the film “Kong: Skull Island” Leann Emmert; Set Director of the film “Shang Chi” Lori Balton; Production Director of the film “The Challenge” Justin Booth; Producer of the film “A Traveler’s Journey of Love” Joel S.Rice…
Vietnam, with its beautiful natural landscape, is an ideal natural "film studio" for international filmmakers.
At the workshop, the atmosphere became lively when directors and producers shared memorable experiences when making films in Vietnam. Vietnam, with its natural beauty and unique culture, is becoming an attractive destination for international filmmakers.
Director Phillip Noyce, father of "The Quiet American", could not hide his emotions when talking about his time working here. He shared: "Vietnam is not only a setting, but also a vivid character in my film. Therefore, being able to film in this land is extremely meaningful. Although we encountered many difficulties, the enthusiasm and support from the Vietnamese Government helped us overcome them all.

Speaking at the Program, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said: "The Vietnam Tourism - Cinema Promotion Program in the United States is organized to introduce and promote tourist destinations, potential filming locations, attract Hollywood film studios to Vietnam to film films with great appeal, capable of creating international media effects, promoting and attracting tourists to Vietnam".
With advantages in landscape, culture and support from the government, Vietnam's film industry is growing.
Director of the film "The Challenge" Justin Booth could not hide his surprise and excitement when sharing about his experience filming in Vietnam. "I have been to many places in the world, but the beauty of Vietnam is truly unique and left a deep impression on me. Every street corner, every person has its own unique characteristics, making me feel like I am lost in a completely new world."
