Iron 883™

The Sportster® was introduced in 1957 and is the longest-running model in Harley-Davidson history. Harley-Davidson updated the entire Sportster® lineup in 2004. The engine is mounted on rubber cushions to reduce vibration. The clutch has 25% less pull. The clutch springs are also lighter.

The Sportster® Iron 883 is for people with smaller builds. Lightweight, low and forward seat, wide handlebars, and close-to-the-seat setup. Suspension tuned for comfort and control. All Sportster® models have been fuel-injected since 2007.

Forty-Eight®

In 2010, Harley-Davidson introduced the new XL1200X, the Forty-Eight®. A “Dark” Nightster version of the Sportster®, it features several design cues from the classic 1948 model, including the iconic bean-shaped fuel tank, wide, forward-facing handlebars, a large front cowl, a single-piece seat, and low suspension.
