A group of 4,500 Indian tourists, from a major pharmaceutical corporation, have arrived in Vietnam to begin their tour. Aiming to explore Vietnam's natural beauty and culture, the group will spend most of their time visiting numerous famous landmarks.
They will split into small groups to visit famous landmarks such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, Ha Long Bay, and Trang An. The total amount spent by this group on entrance tickets to tourist attractions in Vietnam alone reached nearly 3.2 billion VND.
The Indian tour group of 4,500 people, with their strong purchasing power, turned ticket sales at tourist attractions into a huge source of revenue.
First, in Hanoi, the Temple of Literature - National University implemented new ticket prices from January 1, 2024. The price for adults is 70,000 VND/person, for students 35,000 VND, and free for children under 16. With 4,500 Indian tourists purchasing tickets at 70,000 VND/person, the total cost for this attraction would be 315 million VND. At Hoa Lo Prison, the current ticket price is 50,000 VND/person. The total cost for the group to enter would be 225 million VND.
Ha Long Bay, with its magnificent beauty, will be the next destination for the group. With ticket prices ranging from 260,000 to 310,000 VND per person, visiting all the routes here means the Indian tour group will spend up to 1.395 billion VND.
Besides the cost of tickets, hiring a tour guide is also a significant investment. At a price of 300,000 VND per tour per guide, and requiring at least three guides per group, this cost can increase considerably depending on how the group is divided.
With the goal of exploring the natural beauty and culture of Vietnam, the tour group will spend most of their time visiting many famous landmarks.
Who would have thought that, just from the basic entrance fees alone, the Indian tour group would "pour" a staggering 3.172 billion VND into the Vietnamese economy? This figure is truly impressive and demonstrates the appeal of Vietnamese tourist destinations to international visitors.
In addition, the tour group will use high-end accommodation services at 4-5 star hotels and have specific dietary requirements to suit their beliefs and religions. Furthermore, they require a minimum of 3 guides for each group of approximately 30-35 people to ensure the best possible experience. The selected guides must all speak Hindi, and introductions at tourist attractions, usually in English and Vietnamese, will be supplemented with information boards translated into Hindi.
