Emirates expands flydubai to 29 more destinations across three continents.

Following the establishment of their partnership, Emirates and flydubai have announced that Emirates will expand its network to flydubai's 29 destinations across three continents.

The new codeshare network will offer more frequent and accessible flights to a wider range of destinations globally, with the added benefit of a consistent baggage allowance from start to finish. Passengers can now book flights on Emirates.com, through Emirates ticket offices, or through travel agents for journeys departing from October 29, 2017.

Codeshare destinations within the framework of Emirates and flydubai cooperation: Asmara (Eritrea), Belgrade (Serbia), Kiev Zhulyany (Ukraine),Juba (South Sudan), Krasnodar (Russia), Samara (Russia), Kazan (Russia), Mineralnye Vody (Russia), Odessa (Ukraine), Prague (Czech Republic), Rostov-on-Don (Russia), Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Skopje (Macedonia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Tbilisi (Georgia), Kuwait (Kuwait), Baku (Azerbaijan), Lucknow (India), Ahwaz (Iran), Bandar Abbas (Iran), Esfahan (Iran), Lar (Iran), Shiraz (Iran), Najaf (Iraq), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Muscat (Oman), Salalah (Oman), Yekaterinburg (Russia), Bucharest (Romania)

 

 

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai, said: "This is a start to unlocking the benefits this partnership offers passengers the opportunity to enjoy the unique advantages of each airline and have more choice and flexibility when connecting through Dubai. Throughout the journey, Emirates and flydubai will offer customers a product experience that reflects the unique characteristics of each brand. When booking a combined ticket through a codeshare agreement, Emirates passengers will receive complimentary meals and baggage allowance up to Emirates' limit on flights operated by flydubai, applicable to both Business and Economy classes.

The connections at Dubai's aviation hub offer passengers a seamless transit experience, and with this new partnership, passengers will benefit from a shortened minimum connecting time (MCT) between the Emirates area in Terminal 3 and the flydubai area in Terminal 2 to just 120 minutes.

During this period, Emirates Skywards members can accumulate Skywards miles and Skyward Tier Miles on codeshare flights under the current Skywards mileage program. In addition to Emirates' free checked baggage allowance, Skywards Premium members can enjoy an extra 20kg (Platinum members), 16kg (Gold members), and 12kg (Silver members) of free checked baggage on codeshare flights operated by flydubai. Skywards Silver, Gold, and Platinum members traveling on codeshare flights can visit the flydubai Business Class check-in counter and receive a priority baggage tag. Other benefits for frequent flyers and loyal customers will be announced in the near future.
