A shared vision for marine environmental conservation
WiseOceans has a long history of working with luxury resorts around the world, including Four Seasons resorts in Bora Bora, Seychelles and Anguilla. Its mission aligns perfectly with Four Seasons The Nam Hai, Hoi An in preserving the pristine coastline of the Central Coast, fostering a love and appreciation for natural values, and making a positive impact on the local community.
Mr. Marcel Oostenbrink, General Manager of Four Seasons The Nam Hai, Hoi An emphasized: “The cooperation with WiseOceans allows our team to create new and more meaningful experiences for guests, while promoting the practice of the resort's sustainable development goals. Through educational and interactive activities, we hope to strongly inspire the community, contributing to the great goal of protecting the precious terrestrial and ocean ecosystems for future generations.”
Four Seasons The Nam Hai, Hoi An is like a peaceful oasis, nestled on the beautiful Ha My beach, with all the elements for families to freely experience meaningful marine environmental conservation activities from WiseOceans.
The partnership will kick off with the launch of a bespoke Ocean Discovery Programme, offering the opportunity to connect with nature and explore conservation challenges both on land and in the water. Guests at the resort can participate in activities such as coral reef restoration, ecosystem monitoring and other practical initiatives to reduce environmental impact. By integrating conservation experiences into their itineraries, Four Seasons The Nam Hai, Hoi An and WiseOceans aim to protect Vietnam’s natural beauty while encouraging a shared sense of responsibility towards our planet.
Adventure for all ages
For little explorers, the journey to explore the ocean promises to be full of fun and inspiration. The “Scuba Diving Champion” activity at the Resort swimming pool gives children the opportunity to practice their confidence underwater and develop their snorkeling skills under the guidance of experienced experts. Families can also join the “Treasure Hunt” challenge to walk through the internal garden and beautiful coastline, learn about the native flora and fauna and interesting stories surrounding the natural “residents” in the Resort.

Along with the above activities, young visitors can also freely create souvenirs inspired by the ocean such as octopus hats or shark bookmarks, and expand their knowledge about marine creatures at the “Ocean Crafts” workshop. At the Ocean Club, interactive games such as treasure hunts on the beach not only arouse curiosity but also foster a passion for studying coastal ecosystems.
In addition, the Ocean Discovery Center, scheduled to open in 2025, will become a place for marine education and conservation for children and adults at the Resort. Through a series of practical workshops and sharing perspectives on the ecosystem, the Center will open an inspiring space for visitors to explore the interesting balance of the marine ecosystem, as well as contribute to initiatives to improve the local marine environment.
Sustainable practices
Guests can also become part of the “Sustainability Journey” to gain access to the resort’s outstanding eco-initiatives. Spanning 10.5 hectares, the Vegetable & Herb Farm at Four Seasons The Nam Hai, Hoi An supplies seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs for the resort’s restaurants, as well as locally inspired wellness treatments at Heart of the Earth Spa. The resort also operates a dedicated composting area, which processes approximately 300 tonnes of waste from the Farm each month. Of this, 40% of organic waste is composted on-site, while the remainder is sent to local farms.
WiseOceans' activities open up an inspiring space for visitors to explore the interesting balance of marine ecosystems, as well as contribute to initiatives to improve the local marine environment.
Additionally, the “coconut chopping” experience will take guests through the versatility of the coconut, from enjoying coconut water to discovering the sustainable uses of this tropical fruit. The resort is also a pioneer in using coconut fiber – an innovative solution to prevent erosion and improve soil health.
