Founded in 1904, the LSO (London Orchestra) pursues the goal of bringing high-quality music to a wider audience. Each year, the LSO performs 70 concerts domestically and participates in over 50 regular international touring concerts. Beyond musical performances, the LSO is also known for its efforts in discovering and nurturing musical talent, such as establishing the LSO East London Academy, the LSO Discovery program, and the Donatella Flick Conducting competition for young conductors.

This is the second time the LSO has performed in Vietnam as part of the Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert. The 2017 concert left a lasting impression on the artists, showcasing the Hanoi public's love for music. Therefore, this time, the orchestra is dedicating a special treat to the capital's audience with a larger number of pieces than the previous year, beginning with the "Marching Song" and followed by seven classic works from around the world. All works are copyrighted, allowing the concert to be streamed live on domestic and international websites, bringing the LSO's music to a wider audience in Vietnam and internationally.

At the event, the organizers will broadcast the concert live on 400-inch LED screens placed on Dinh Tien Hoang Street and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. Additionally, the organizers will distribute free drinks to attendees on the pedestrian street.
Considered one of the world's leading symphony orchestras, the LSO's performance in Hanoi will contribute to further promoting to international friends the image of Vietnam and its people, and the capital city of Hanoi as a civilized, cultured, and culturally rich city that loves art and is always integrating with the finest cultural values of the world.
