According to the Regulations for the 2019 Vietnam Tourism Awards, the eligible recipients include various types of tourism services such as: travel agencies, hotels, tourist transportation businesses by car, water and air, restaurants serving tourists, tourist and entertainment areas, tourist rest stops, golf courses, and tourism investment and business enterprises that have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnamese tourism.
In particular, in 2019, to encourage and motivate units that have made significant contributions to the development of the tourism industry, the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism added two more categories to the Regulations on the Organization of the Vietnam Tourism Awards: tourism human resource training institutions and media units that have made significant contributions to the Vietnamese tourism industry.
The awards are organized to select and honor organizations, businesses, and establishments that provide products and services to tourists and make positive contributions to the development of Vietnam's tourism industry. Besides its significant role in building the national tourism brand, the awards also promote tourism as a key economic sector of the country.
The award will enhance integration and promote the image of domestic tourism internationally. Tourists will benefit from being able to choose and use the best services, brands, and quality. In addition, units that perform well in environmental protection and sustainable development also deserve to be honored.
The categories eligible for the 2019 Vietnam Tourism Awards include service sectors such as travel agencies, hotels, and businesses providing tourist transportation by car, water, and air. Restaurants, entertainment venues, tourist rest stops, golf courses, and businesses that have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnamese tourism are also eligible for consideration.
