Tourists visiting Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai province) will have to pay a fee. This fee applies to both domestic and foreign tourists.

Ly Son Island is one of the attractive tourist destinations in Quang Ngai province. Since 2007, the local government has launched the "Ly Son Island and Sea" tourist route. Tourists from Quang Ngai city travel along National Highway 24B to Sa Ky port, then take a speedboat to the island and rent motorbikes to visit the historical sites. While staying on the island, tourists can enjoy seafood and local specialties such as garlic salad, anchovy salad, mixed seaweed (cum cum vegetable), and sea urchin porridge. From the main island, tourists can take a canoe to the smaller island to swim and bask in the coconut groves. The seawater here is clear and calm.

Ly Son Island boasts four national historical sites: An Vinh village communal house (related to the Hoang Sa naval fleet mentioned above), An Hai village communal house, Am Linh Temple (a place of worship for wronged souls, wandering spirits, and fallen soldiers of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa), and Hang Pagoda. Sa Huynh cultural sites have also been found on the island, such as Chinh stream, Oc hamlet, and especially traces of Cham Pa culture. There are also 24 temples and hermitages. Ly Son is also known as the "Garlic Kingdom" because of the unique flavor of its garlic. The nutrient content in Ly Son garlic is consistently higher than that of garlic grown elsewhere.

In 2018, Ly Son welcomed nearly 240,000 visitors, generating approximately 275 billion VND in tourism revenue. From the beginning of this year until now, more than 120,000 tourists have visited Ly Son.
