Ly Son will hold the 2019 paragliding festival

From June 21-25, 2019, Hanoi Paragliding Association will coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province and related units to organize the "Vietnam Open Paragliding Championship 2019" in Ly Son island district.

The paragliding take-off point is located on the top of Thoi Loi mountain, nearly 170 meters above sea level. This is one of the five extinct volcanoes of Ly Son island district of Quang Ngai province.

The 2019 Paragliding Festival is open to all domestic and foreign paragliding pilots with international paragliding certificates or qualifications guaranteed by a licensed host club. The event is expected to attract about 100 pilots, many paragliding clubs across the country and a number of foreign athletes from Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, and Japan.

The “Vietnam Open Paragliding Championship 2019” has only one competition, which is precision landing. The prize structure includes the National Prize Category (for Vietnamese athletes), the General Prize Category (scoring Vietnamese and foreign athletes) with a total prize value of up to 50 million VND.
