Currently, the free Wifi system serving tourists has been installed at 03 tourist attractions in Ha Long Bay including: Thien Cung Cave area, Dau Go Cave and Ti-top Island. According to the Ha Long Bay Management Board, the Wifi system is installed based on Viba technology platform, so it has wide coverage, stable quality suitable for terrain and weather conditions in Ha Long Bay. Mr. Bui Van Tinh, a tourist visiting Ha Long Bay said: "I find traveling to Ha Long Bay with Wifi very convenient. I can immediately transmit images of Ha Long Bay to family and friends. Along with that, I can access, search for information, read newspapers... very useful".
Along with Wifi, Ha Long Bay Management Board is also installing a camera surveillance system at tourist attractions on the bay. Camera images recorded will be transmitted directly to the mainland for functional departments to monitor and supervise. This helps to monitor, manage and handle issues related to security and order more conveniently, ensuring the safety of tourists. At the same time, this is also the premise for implementing the management of tourists visiting the bay using electronic tickets.
Comrade Pham Dinh Huynh, Deputy Head of Ha Long Bay Management Board said: "Currently, the quality of telecommunication signals in Ha Long Bay is limited, so we have deployed a wifi system to allow tourists to access the internet for free. Along with that, we also installed a camera system to monitor tourists visiting the bay to strengthen the work of ensuring security and safety for visitors, as well as management work."
According to the schedule, by the end of this year, the free wifi system and surveillance cameras will be installed at all tourist attractions in Ha Long Bay (17 points). The locations for overnight boat stops will be calculated for installation later.
