The expanded area includes Dinh Liet, Gia Ngu, Cau Go, Hang Be, Hang Dau, Hang Bac, Dao Duy Tu, O Quan Chuong streets; three alleys Cau Go, Trung Yen, Phat Loc. Walking space in Hoan Kiem Lake area
Hoan Kiem District has a plan for the main business lines serving people and pedestrian tourists on Gia Ngu Street and Cau Go Alley: high-class restaurants; Hang Be Street for handicrafts and tourism; Dao Duy Tu and Cau Go Streets for groceries and cuisine; Dinh Liet and Hang Dau Streets for groceries, clothes, and shoes; Hang Bac Street for jewelry and some other available types of businesses...
Historical and cultural relics in the area will be open to serve visitors during the time the walking street is in operation. The Quan Chuong Gate area is the center for organizing cultural activities and festivals to serve tourists.
The government has arranged 156 static traffic points with an area of over 34,000 m2 to ensure parking for residents and tourists. Residents living in the pedestrian zone are allowed to park their vehicles for free in the area under Chuong Duong Bridge or are allowed to bring their vehicles in and must leave them inside the house. The authorities manage by printing cards and giving them to residents.
According to the leader of Hoan Kiem district, expanding the pedestrian space south of Hanoi's Old Quarter connecting with Hoan Kiem Lake and surrounding areas will "resonate values, creating a connection between the two pedestrian spaces, meeting the needs of residents and tourists".
