The "Hanoi in Many Colors" hot air balloon festival took place this morning, March 25th, and will last until Sunday, March 27th, 2022, from 8 AM to 9 PM. This is one of the events within the program."Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2022 - Get on Hanoi 2022"Organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, this event was held to celebrate the full reopening of the tourism industry.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Chien Thang Company, organized hot air balloon flights, allowing tourists to experience flying in a hot air balloon and admire the city from above.
There are two types of hot air balloons used: the Class 1 type, which cannot carry passengers, and the Class 7 type, which is 22 meters high and approximately 18 meters in diameter according to international standards. Class 7 balloons have a lifting capacity of up to 600 kg and have flown in several other Southeast Asian countries.


During the opening ceremony on March 25th, visitors were admitted free of charge. From March 26th onwards, the entrance fee is 60,000 VND per person, with children under 1.1m tall admitted free. Hot air balloon rides cost 25,000 VND; balloon flights cost 150,000 VND per child and 300,000 VND per adult, including insurance.
Additionally, at 8 PM on March 25th, there will be a performance featuring 10 level 1 hot air balloons (10 m high) and 1 level 7 hot air balloon (22 m high) hovering low in the Ly Thai To flower garden area and Dinh Tien Hoang street (Hoan Kiem district), for people to experience and take photos.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, after this festival, hot air balloons will become a regular tourism product of Hanoi to attract tourists and promote tourism.
