Sharing with tourists and the public, VMG Chairman Mr. Hoang Ngoc Nam said that in 1884, the French colonialists used hot air balloons to fly along the Red River to capture Hung Hoa citadel (Tam Nong, Phu Tho today). And today, after 138 years, VMG brings a different historical image, with vibrant hot air balloons along the banks of the Red River, making the river even more beautiful.
Mr. Hoang Ngoc Nam emphasized: "The difference of this launch event is that all the pilots and technicians operating the hot air balloons are domestic, members of the Vietnam Hot Air Balloon Club under VMG. The pilots all have over 2,000 hours of tethered flight and hundreds of hours of free flight; the technicians also have over 200 hours of performance with Level 1 hot air balloons."
For the first time in Vietnam, the simultaneous flight of multiple hot air balloons has created a spectacular visual spectacle, aiming to provide tourists and locals with an exciting experience. (Photo: Kincoi)
VMG's hot air balloon tourism product introduction program offers three main products: sightseeing inside a hot air balloon; sightseeing over Hanoi from above in a hot air balloon; and the "Night of Dreams" hot air balloon lantern festival. This series of products is part of the Hanoi Department of Tourism's program to welcome 2022."Get on Hanoi 2022".
In particular, the "Night of Dreams" lantern festival will be a combination of music, light, and stage effects; with 22 hot air balloons erected on the lawn, shining like 22 giant lanterns, symbolizing the year 2022 reflecting on the historic Red River. "Night of Dreams" will take place from 7 PM on March 26th, the only night during VMG's three-day product launch event from March 25th to 27th.
