The capital city of Hanoi is bustling with preparations for a series of important events, towards the 80th anniversary of the historic August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Opening this jubilant festive atmosphere is a magnificent fireworks display, promising to light up the night sky of August 10, creating a feast of light and sound for residents and visitors.
According to official information from the authorities, this special fireworks display will take place at 10 pm on August 10 and last for 8 minutes. The chosen location is the F1 Racetrack area in Tu Liem ward, a large, ideal space to ensure the best visibility for the audience and safety for the organization.
According to the organizers, the highlight of the “National Concert” is the 8-minute fireworks display, starting at 10 p.m. at the F1 racetrack, next to My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi. Although it is a concert with the nature of a political art program, “Fatherland in the Heart” is still expected to create a close and accessible space, especially for the younger generation of audiences who are increasingly interested in meaningful music nights, ensuring both scale, methodical staging and rich emotions.
Hanoi will set off 8-minute fireworks at the "National Concert" Fatherland in the Heart
The scale of the performance is elaborately invested with the combination of 300 high-altitude fireworks exploding brilliantly in the night sky, creating giant beams of light and 60 low-altitude fireworks bringing sparkling, diverse effects at closer range. This combination promises to bring an impressive visual experience, demonstrating the development and modernity of the capital.
In particular, the entire budget for the fireworks display on the night of August 10, estimated at about 1 billion VND, was mobilized from socialized sources. This demonstrates the solidarity and contribution of the community, businesses and organizations to the country's major commemorative activities, spreading the spirit of solidarity and deep patriotism. The main purpose of organizing fireworks is to create an exciting atmosphere, spread the spirit of patriotism, and strengthen solidarity among the people of the capital, together towards noble historical values.
The Fatherland in the Heart is considered a "National Concert" organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Committee, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the event took place on August 10 at My Dinh Stadium.
Not stopping at the opening fireworks display, the capital Hanoi will continue to be immersed in a festive atmosphere on the night of National Day, September 2. According to the plan, there will be 5 fireworks displays simultaneously held at symbolic locations of Hanoi, including Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium, and West Lake.
City police develop plans to ensure security, organize traffic, prevent and fight fires; guide traffic flow, and protect security in the fireworks area before, during and after the fireworks display.
These fireworks displays will apply both traditional and artistic fireworks forms, promising to bring unique and diverse performances, meeting the expectations of the majority of people.
In particular, the highlight of the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 will be the official celebration, scheduled to take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025 at the historic Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of the capital. According to the Ministry of National Defense's Parade and Marching Plan, this event will have the participation of about 30,000 people, not including the parade and marching forces. This will be a grand and solemn celebration, demonstrating the strength of national unity and the great achievements that Vietnam has achieved over the past 80 years.
