A brand-new cultural and spiritual tourism product, the "Tran Vu Bell" night tour, is about to officially launch at Quan Thanh Temple (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi). This is the first live performance program specially designed at a sacred temple of ancient Thang Long, promising a unique experience that revives the golden memories and age-old cultural values of the capital city.

Lasting 90 minutes, the "Tran Vu Bell" night tour will be held weekly, with each performance accommodating approximately 100 guests. The program is inspired by the traditional festival commemorating the day when the Holy Saint Huyen Thien Tran Vu descended to bestow blessings at Quan Thanh Temple.
Hanoi launches the "Tran Vu Bell" night tour, expected to offer visitors a live performance combined with listening to stories about the glorious capital city.
Quan Thanh Temple, built during the Ly Dynasty, is one of the four sacred temples guarding the four directions of the ancient Thang Long capital, known as the "Four Guardian Temples of Thang Long". Currently, the temple is located at the corner of Thanh Nien Street and Quan Thanh Street, overlooking West Lake, and is dedicated to the deity Huyen Thien Tran Vu – the god who guards the North and protects the agricultural population.
Cultural and spiritual tourism products combined with live performances are organized at Quan Thanh Temple, one of the famous "Four Guardian Temples of Thang Long" in Hanoi.
"The Bell of Tran Vu" is not simply a performance, but a real-life journey rich in traditional elements, hoping to revive memories of a land "filled with the sacred spirit of the capital city".
Tourists on the night tour can also visit and learn about spaces dedicated to tea ceremony, calligraphy, bronze artifacts, and traditional costumes; and shop for souvenirs associated with Quan Thanh Temple.
The program will vividly recreate stories associated with the Truc Bach silk weaving village – where Trinh dynasty court ladies once wove brocade for the king, or the Ngu Xa bronze casting village – famous for its exquisite bronze works. Through this, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the thousand-year-old capital city, where cultural values and traditional crafts have been preserved through generations.
The program is 90 minutes long, held weekly, and is expected to welcome approximately 100 guests each time starting in August.
In particular, the program also takes viewers into a sacred artistic space, where the solemn sound of temple bells resonates, creating a mystical and tranquil atmosphere. Through vibrant and accessible theatrical language, the age-old cultural values of Thang Long are retold in a captivating way, aiming for sustainable tourism development linked to cultural depth.
Inspired by the traditional festival commemorating the annual descent of the Holy Saint Huyền Thiên Trấn Vũ to bestow blessings at the temple, the Trấn Vũ Bell Night Tour takes visitors back in time, immersing them in the ancient folk culture and beliefs.
The "Tran Vu Bell" night tour is a product developed in close collaboration between the Ba Dinh District People's Committee and the Management Board of the Quan Thanh Temple National Special Monument, along with researchers and travel agencies. Besides preserving and promoting the heritage value, the program is also expected to strongly boost tourism and economic development in Ba Dinh District in particular and Hanoi in general.
"The Tran Vu Bell" promises to become a new highlight in the journey of exploring Hanoi at night.
With the launch of "Tran Vu Bell," Hanoi's night tourism products will become increasingly diverse and rich. Previously, many other night tours at famous historical sites such as Hoa Lo Prison, Temple of Literature - National University, and Thang Long Imperial Citadel have left a deep impression on visitors. "Tran Vu Bell" promises to continue this success, offering a new and attractive option, inviting visitors to explore the mysterious beauty and cultural depth of the capital city as night falls.
