Listed among the 7 wonders of the world, Taj Mahal always appears in my mind as an eternal symbol of love. People still say that when you touch Taj Mahal, your love will be eternal. That is what urged me to set foot in Agra, to admire with my own eyes the majestic beauty of this white marble mausoleum and feel every breath of the past here.
India has long been my dream destination, a mystical land with rich history and great architecture.
My journey started from New Delhi. After a long flight, it took me about 4 hours by taxi to reach Agra. Standing in front of the Taj Mahal, I was overwhelmed by its perfect beauty. The delicate lines, perfect symmetry and light reflecting on the marble floor made the Taj Mahal shine in the blue sky. It is not only an architectural work, but also contains the story of the eternal love of Emperor Shah Jahan for Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Putting my hands on the cool walls of the Taj Mahal, I suddenly realized that there are things in life that can only be felt with the heart.

Leaving Agra, I continued my journey to Jaipur - the romantic pink city, taking about 5 hours by taxi. Jaipur welcomed me with colorful streets and majestic architectural works. The first stop was Hawa Mahal - Palace of Winds, a unique pink masterpiece standing out in the heart of the city. From afar, Hawa Mahal appeared like a lace curtain made of sandstone, with more than 900 small, delicately carved windows. I touched the cool walls, looked up at the tiny windows where the concubines of the past used to quietly watch the rhythm of life outside without anyone seeing them. The wind crept through each crack in the door, carrying the breath of the past, softening the harsh sun of Jaipur.

I continued on to Amber Palace, a majestic hilltop fortress that preserves the splendor of the Rajput dynasty. Standing from afar, I was overwhelmed by the palace’s pink sandstone and white marble walls, reflecting the brilliant Jaipur sunlight. The long corridors and intricately carved walls told the story of a once glorious dynasty. I slowly walked through each palace, imagining the kings and queens who once walked here.

Panna Meena Ka Kund is a must-see – the ancient and enchanting steps, which used to be a freshwater lake that supplied water to the entire city. The steps are stacked on top of each other in a perfectly symmetrical structure, creating a magical maze in the heart of Jaipur.

The highlight of my trip was my stay at the Oberoi Rajvilas – a luxurious oasis in the heart of Jaipur, which made me feel like I was lost in a splendid royal history. From the moment I set foot in the hotel, I was enchanted. The bright flowers lovingly held by the staff, along with the pure air of the green campus, where peacocks proudly strode freely among the stone-paved paths, made the scene strangely poetic and regal.

I was immersed in the atmosphere of Rajvilas, where every detail was meticulously taken care of, from the luxurious tents in the royal style of Rajasthan to the calm lake reflecting the brilliant sunset. But perhaps the moment that made me feel truly regal was the dinner here. Before eating, I experienced the ritual of washing my hands with warm goat’s milk, a lavish tradition once reserved for the nobility. The smooth water slid through my fingers, giving me a feeling of purity and sanctity, as if I were stepping back in time, becoming part of ancient royal banquets.

Passing through Agra and Jaipur, I not only admired the legendary architectural works but also felt the warmth of the people here. This 7-day journey left me with beautiful memories and unforgettable moments. India is not only a story told through books, but also a journey where every step touches the most authentic cultural, historical and emotional values.
