British Business Group in Vietnam organizes charity football tournament

The friendly football tournament for member companies of the British Business Group in Vietnam to raise charity funds will be held from 8:30 to 17:00 on January 9, 2016 at C500 Stadium, People's Security Academy (19-5 Street, Van Quan, Ha Dong, Hanoi).

The British Business Group Vietnam Corporate Charity Football Tournament was launched in September 2013 as part of the UK Business Week in Vietnam celebrations. Over the past three years, the vibrant event has attracted the participation of over 30 businesses, raising VND400 million to support charity projects across Vietnam.

To end a successful year with the official visit of British Prime Minister David Cameron to Vietnam on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the signing of the bilateral Strategic Partnership in 2015, and the 20th anniversary of BBGV being established as the first international Chamber of Commerce licensed to operate in Vietnam, the BBGV Member Companies Friendly Football Tournament to raise funds for charity will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016. This year, 16 teams participated, including member companies and partners such as: British University Vietnam, British International School, Vietnam Airlines, PwC Vietnam, Jardines, HongKong Land, Coats Phong Phu, Luala Milano, Savills, Grant Thornton, Hilton, Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake, B. Braun, US Alumni and especially a team from the British Embassy with the participation of Ambassador Giles Lever. Players participating in this year's tournament all have the chance to win in a lucky draw two round-trip business class tickets to any destination in Southeast Asia on flights operated by Vietnam Airlines.
