The festival to stimulate tourism and introduce Hanoi's signature non-alcoholic beverages was held over three days, from June 26th to 28th, 2020, at the Octagonal House area, Ly Thai To flower garden, Hoan Kiem district. More than 70 travel agencies, airlines, and tourist attractions participated, offering thousands of tours with discounts of 30-50% to visitors.

According to the organizers, the festival, with its booths, gameshows, and vibrant activities such as art performances and parades, attracted approximately 30,000 visitors. Businesses generated an estimated revenue of 21 billion VND from tour services and discounted airline tickets sold directly at their booths. In particular, the Hanoi-Quang Binh train tour, with each train consisting of 12 carriages, organized by the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, sold 70% of its tickets in July.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet, Head of the Tourism Promotion Department at the Hanoi City Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center, commented: "Despite being held over three days in hot weather, the festival still attracted a large number of visitors. The lively programs, gameshows, and prizes worth over 200 million VND created a truly festive atmosphere!"

This shows that the tourism market in Hanoi in particular and the northern provinces in general has gradually recovered after the Covid-19 pandemic, especially with the upcoming summer vacation for students in July. During the summer, tourists mainly choose beach destinations. However, nearby destinations, accessible by private vehicle, are also very popular with families. Quy Nhon and Phu Quoc are two of the most popular coastal areas, alongside the Central Highlands regions such as Pleiku and Buon Ma Thuot.

During this period, the unit also launched a nighttime experience tour at the Hoa Lo Prison historical site called "Sacred Night - Shining Vietnamese Spirit". The first tours, which began on July 24th, have already been fully booked.

A representative from Vietnam Airlines stated that approximately 10,000 people visited the airline's booth at the tourism promotion festival, with a particularly large crowd on the evening of June 27th, during the street festival. Around 1,000 discount codes offering 25% off domestic flights were distributed.
