He is honored as the one who pushed Classical art to its peak and also the one who suggested new directions for the emergence of the Romantic music school.

The Symphony “Fate” uses a very spectacular technique of developing motifs, the motif with the first four notes that appear is engraved in the listener’s mind like the knocks of fate. From that motif, the music expands, grows forever, the richness and contrast in color seems endless. The work has had a great influence on the generation of famous composers later such as: Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Bruckner, Mahler, Berlioz …

Part one of the program is very interesting with impressive music art and 20th century music. Most notable is the concerto for two pianos with orchestra by Francis Poulenc, a 20th century French composer and also an excellent pianist, so the concerto is very unique with great technical demonstrations of the piano. Francis Poulenc and the famous Les Six group of 6 musicians from Montparnasse with the criteria of musical art against the musical style of the Impressionist school with representatives of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel...

This is clearly shown in the use of harmony in this work by Poulenc, there are sections that are completely classical, pure, and simple. However, there are many orchestral, harmonic, and rhythmic techniques here that are similar to the techniques that Ravel used in his piano concerto in G minor. Poulenc's concerto for two pianos will be performed by two pianists Boris Kraljevic (originally from the former Yugoslavia) and Le Ho Hai.

The program opened with one of Claude Debussy's most famous works, the mystical symphonic poem “Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune” (Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun). It was later used as the music for Vaslav Nijinsky's ballet “Afternoon of a Faun.” Claude Debussy's symphonic poem is celebrated as a turning point in music history from Impressionism to the Early Modern period.

With the pinnacle works in the world's musical treasure, we hope the concert will bring you emotional and interesting enjoyment.
