"Kissing on Mount Batur, 1717m high, was pretty exciting," shared Chung Huyen Thanh. "At 1 AM, I could barely keep my eyes open, but I still had to drag myself up to start exploring new things. As long as we're together, nothing is impossible."

Batur is a volcano in the Agung mountain range, located in the town of Kitamani on the island of Bali. This mountain was formed between 23,000 and 28,000 years ago. The summit of Batur is often described as a dormant volcano because it lies between two other volcanoes northwest of Agung. Every year, thousands of tourists visit Batur to experience the thrill of climbing to the summit at night and immersing themselves in the dreamy natural scenery of the first rays of sunlight.

To witness the sunrise on the summit of Mount Batur, Chung Huyen Thanh and Jay Quan spent a sleepless night, setting off at 1:30 AM. Climbing Mount Batur isn't necessarily a difficult trek, as most people are capable of reaching the summit. However, the journey is fraught with danger, and not everyone has the courage to remain calm throughout. The trail is unlit, so the trip takes place in complete darkness. The steep path, filled with sand and small pebbles, makes each step unsteady, prone to slipping, and susceptible to falls. After two hours of navigating in the darkness, the couple and members of the Amazing Tour team reached the summit of Batur just as the sun rose. The breathtaking scenery bestowed by nature overwhelmed the couple with happiness.

The sunrise from the summit of Mount Batur is impressive with its three distinct color shades, starting with a muted purple hue, then transitioning to fiery red rays, and finally culminating in a dazzling golden yellow that illuminates the entire hillside.
