The JeanRichard 1681 is a watch line designed to honor the first watch designed by Daniel Jeanrichard in 1681. The latest model, the JeanRichard 1681 Blue, continues that tradition with a modern tonneau-shaped design and a bold blue dial.

The JeanRichard 1681 Blue will come in two different versions: one with a steel case, and the other with a rose gold case. In addition to a small date window at the 3 o'clock position, the rose gold version is "privileged" with an extra sub-dial for seconds at the 9 o'clock position.

The steel version is powered by the JR1000 automatic movement, with 28,800 oscillations per hour and a 48-hour power reserve, while the rose gold version uses the JR1090 movement (similar to the JR1000 but with an added seconds module on the sub-dial). Both have a 44mm case diameter and are water-resistant to 100m.

The JeanRichard 1681 Blue will be officially launched at the BaselWorld 2014 watch exhibition, taking place from March 27th to April 3rd in Geneva.
