Art In The Forest 2017 promises to witness the sublimation of sculptures through the hands of artists on wood and metal materials to subtly express the artists' perspectives on life, on the relationship between humans and nature. With the participation of three typical contemporary sculptors of Vietnam such as sculptor Bui Hai Son, Nguyen Nguyen Ha, Vu Binh Minh; Art In The Forest this year promises special works made by international sculptors: Lee Jae Hyo (Korea), sculptor Carlos Albert Andrés (Spain), Yeo Chee Kiong (Singapore) and sculptor Mukai Katsumi (Japan). In addition to sculptor Mukai who has participated with AIF, the three sculptors above are all artists who have accepted to participate in a residency program in Vietnam for the first time.

Along with sculpture, this year's special highlight is the first time AIF has organized a Painting Residency program with the participation of 10 domestic artists. These artists, their names and works have a certain position in the flow of fine arts in Vietnam and the Asian region. The public will enjoy the paintings of students Mac Hoang Thuong, Hoang Duong Cam, Nguyen Son, Ha Manh Thang, Nguyen Xuan Long or the rarely seen paintings of Tuan Mami - one of the leading installation and performance artists in Vietnam. In addition, the appearance of the honored guests: Painter, art critic Nguyen Quan and student Nguyen Xuan Tiep also makes it difficult for art lovers to judge. Let’s wait for the “brainchildren” nurtured in the Studio AIF complex located in the middle of the rustling pine forest of Dai Lai, a studio that is also a work of art created by the ghost-writing brush of artist Pham Tuan Tu and hyper-realist artist Trinh Minh Tien. Moreover, each artist will have to handle the space for displaying their works in their own studio.

A joy and pride in the AIF 2017 residency program, the project has received the support of the famous German painting company Lukas after many years of representation in Vietnam. We welcome the support of individuals and businesses who share the same love for art and the desire to promote the development of the country's fine arts.

Persistent in sponsoring and developing young Vietnamese art. This year, Flamingo – Art In The Forest Fund continues to sponsor the Lacquer exhibition “Invisible Season” by artist Nguyen Tran Cuong. The exhibition will open at 5:00 p.m. on October 22, 2017 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi.

First held in 2015, Art In The Forest immediately made a big splash and became a national cultural and artistic event when it was voted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as one of the Top 5 typical national art events in 2016. Moreover, 25 unique sculptures from the previous two seasons helped Vietnam's leading resort successfully set the record for "The resort with the largest lakeside art space in Vietnam" certified by the Vietnam Record Association and the Vietnam Record Organization in June 2017.

The above impressive milestones are a testament to the dedication and constant efforts of Flamingo Group to realize the goal of contributing valuable life and artistic values to the community and becoming a place to preserve and develop works of art by contemporary artists from Vietnam and the Asian region.

From October 28 to November 6, the AIF 2017 Art Week will take place at Flamingo Dai Lai Resort with a tour of unique works of art for a large number of tourists and art lovers to enjoy. In addition, many Eastern - Western cultural activities such as painting classes, Halloween mask decoration and art performances taking place on the sidelines of the event will also bring interesting colors to visitors when coming to Flamingo.
