This exhibition displays 20 portraits of 20 people. Among them, some were painted by women who had been trafficked, abused or sexually assaulted in the past. Some were still struggling with their traumas, some chose to return to live with their abusive husbands but had enough knowledge to reduce the abuse, and some were gradually overcoming their trauma to move towards a better life. The sad eyes, the bright smiles, or the dark colors in the paintings, all contained somewhere the emotions, the confessions, the personal stories of each person.
Come and see the paintings, to connect, sympathize with the difficult fates, and share with them some of the pain of the past. In addition to the paintings, you will also learn more about the issues of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual abuse and their impact on Vietnamese women, as well as learn about Hagar's activities to support women and children in Vietnam.
Coming to the exhibition, you can spread messages of love and sharing in many ways: write a message, draw a picture, or simply post it on social media. You can also choose to buy your favorite picture to directly support women.
The exhibition takes place from March 11 to March 17 at the lobby of Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel, 1 Le Thanh Tong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
