Since November 16, 2019, more than 1,000 domestic and foreign tourists have come to enjoy the Rong May glass bridge. Located in the Heaven Gate area of O Quy Ho pass and about 20 km from Sa Pa town, this project consists of two main items: an outdoor elevator and a glass bridge.
On the first day, thousands of tourists came to admire the highest glass bridge in Vietnam.
The Rong May glass bridge tourist area has a total investment of 1,000 billion VND and an operating period of 50 years. With an entrance from the mountain to the elevator system 70 m long, the elevator height to the glass bridge is 300 m and the glass bridge extends from the cliff to 60 m, the completed project aims to serve the entertainment needs of 5,000 - 50,000 tourists/year, with services such as sightseeing tourism, adventure tourism, eco-tourism, resort tourism...
This is the second glass bridge in Vietnam, the previous one was the bridge at Dai Yem waterfall (Moc Chau) with a height of 22 m.
Standing on the glass bridge, visitors will feel their legs shaking when they see the deep space below. Besides, the experience of admiring the majestic natural scenery of one of the "four great mountain passes" in the Northwest region is also an extremely valuable experience.
Rong May glass bridge tourist area has become a connecting point between Sa Pa tourist center (Lao Cai) and tourist attractions of Lai Chau province such as: Tac Tinh waterfall, Putaleng peak, Pu Sam Cap cave and cultural villages of Thai, Mong, Dao, Lao, Lu ethnic groups...
