The melodious music will guide the audience through the love story and passion of two "dreamy fools," Mia (played by the beautiful actress Emma Stone) and Sebastian (played by the handsome Ryan Gosling), amidst the glamorous city of Los Angeles. They met somewhere along the way in Hollywood, when both Mia and Sebastian were almost desperate to make their dreams come true. And it is from here that the story begins.

The love story in La La Land will be woven together by melodious tunes through romantic Hollywood scenes, featuring two main songs recorded live on set: Audition (The Fools Who Dream) and City of Stars, performed by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. To create meaningful lyrics that perfectly complement the melodies composed specifically for the film by composer Hurwitz, Chazelle and Hurwitz consulted extensively with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul – a leading duo in the field of stage music, whose names are associated with works such as “Dear Evan Hansen,” “A Christmas Story,” “Dogfight,” “James and the Giant Peach,” and “Edge.” Justin Paul offered his assessment of screenwriter and director Damien Chazelle's new work: “We were really excited by Damien and Justin’s passion and their desire to create a work that celebrates the classic musical film genre while still being relevant to a contemporary audience.” “These days, not many filmmakers are enthusiastic about this genre anymore,” Pasek shared.
The song "Audition" is the voice of the muse in Mia, and "City of Stars" is a song featuring the voices of both Sebastian and Mia, with a melodious tune to express the thoughts of two dreamy, artistic "fools" who live with burning passion within them.
The film stars the popular duo Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as jazz pianist Sebastian and aspiring actress Mia, respectively. Following the resounding success of “Crazy, Stupid, Love” and “Gangster Squad,” the pair are “falling in love again” in this new film.
