The Ministry of Transport is drafting a Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 58/2017/ND-CP dated May 10, 2017 of the Government. This Decree details a number of articles of the Vietnam Maritime Code on the management of maritime activities, and has been amended and supplemented by Decree No. 69/2022/ND-CP dated September 23, 2022 and Decree No. 74/2023/ND-CP dated October 11, 2023.
Accordingly, important issues related to the type of tourist diving boat will revolve around the issue of operating area, safety when participating in diving activities as well as how to organize diving activities.
First, the Vietnam Maritime Administration will review the organization's application file for the submarine's operating area and approve it after consulting with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the People's Committees of relevant provinces and cities.
