Explore and experience contemporary art
The 2024 Young Fine Arts Exhibition, taking place from November 29, 2024 to February 6, 2025 at the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA), is an international-class art space, creating conditions for art lovers to admire creative works. With more than 148 works by 121 young artists from all over the country, the event brings a rich picture of today's artistic life. The works use many art forms such as painting and installation, each with its own nuances, depicting new perspectives on life and society.
This exhibition addresses the issues of contemporary life from the perspective of young people. The works show new creative thinking in the artists' perspective of artistic creation, thereby reflecting the development of contemporary art forms as well as the Vietnamese art life in the integration period. This is also an opportunity for the young generation of artists to express their talent, creativity and voice to the public. Through each work, viewers will feel the concerns, enthusiasm and love of art of those who are striving to contribute to building the country's fine arts.

Breathing life into "old creations"
After 5 months of launching, selected from more than 1,050 works by 300 participating authors, the Young Fine Arts Festival is not only an art playground, but also a bridge connecting art and the public, creating conditions for everyone to easily enjoy and understand more about contemporary Vietnamese fine arts. As writer André Gide once said: "Everything that needs to be said has been said, but because no one is listening, it needs to be said again." Young artists have revived ideas that once existed, combining them with contemporary breath to create works that are both legacy and breakthrough.

The works at the exhibition are not simply products of imagination but also contain the soul and voice of the young generation. Each work is like a bridge connecting the past and the present, between tradition and modernity, between individuals and communities. The artists have skillfully used the language of art to “retell” familiar philosophies, breathing creativity, intelligence and emotion into them. This not only creates a difference for each work but also affirms the power of art in promoting cultural development.
The Art Council selected 148 works by 121 authors for exhibition, of which 27 excellent works and sets of works were awarded prizes.

The 2024 Young Fine Arts Exhibition creates a unique art space where the public can enjoy creative works while exploring the meaningful depths that contemporary art brings.
Linh (20 years old), a student at the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, Hanoi National University, shared her feelings after attending the exhibition: “I was very surprised and excited by the works here. They were presented in a skillful and innovative way, as if they had gone beyond all familiar frameworks. Each work evokes a new and inspiring feeling, making me feel that art is both familiar and challenging to the imagination.”

Linh's sharing partly shows that the exhibition has created a strong connection with young people. Each work is the creative achievement of the artist, the way they convey messages, opening up new spaces of thought for the audience. Bold ideas, unique approaches and the spirit of daring to break limits have aroused in the audience genuine emotions and deep reflections on life as well as society.
