The Hanoi Traditional Craft Village Food and Tourism Festival 2022 will take place from May 19th to 23rd in the Le Quang Dao street area, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi, featuring many interesting and attractive cultural promotion activities.

The Hanoi Traditional Craft Village Food and Tourism Festival 2022, organized by the Hanoi City Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center in coordination with various departments and agencies, will feature many unique activities to attract tourists. The festival will showcase the finest aspects of traditional craft villages in the capital city – home to 47 out of 52 traditional crafts nationwide.

The festival will have six themed areas to showcase delicious Hanoi cuisine, and each area will feature a separate section introducing typical craft villages and tourism of this thousand-year-old cultural land.

The area showcasing traditional and modern Hanoi cuisine will allow visitors to experience everything from street food to traditional dishes such as: Hanoi pho, fish cakes, bun thang, Son Tay rice cakes, Phung spring rolls, Phu Thuong sticky rice, Tay Ho lotus tea, egg coffee, Uoc Le pork sausage... In addition, visitors can also learn about and enjoy traditional Hanoi feasts.

The organizers also divided the area into separate sections to showcase typical craft villages of Hanoi such as: Bat Trang pottery village (Gia Lam district), Van Phuc silk village (Ha Dong district), Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo weaving village (Chuong My district), Ha Thai lacquerware village (Thuong Tin district), Son Dong handicraft village (Hoai Duc district), Thuy Ung horn comb village (Thuong Tin district), Xuan La clay figurine making village (Phu Xuyen)...

In particular, the festival will feature many attractive activities and events such as: demonstrations of the production process of some traditional craft products, an area for visitors to experience the production process of traditional craft products; fashion shows of ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) made from Van Phuc silk and jewelry made from horn and mother-of-pearl; introductions to the finest Hanoi cuisine: street food, folk cuisine, dishes originating from traditional craft villages; an exhibition of photographs of Hanoi's traditional craft villages...

In addition, the organizers have also arranged a game area with folk games for the whole family and children, including tug-of-war, stilt walking, swinging, hopscotch, jump rope, blindfolded tag, bamboo bridge walking, etc.; combining E-sports games with SEA Games events for visitors to experience.

In the coming period, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will continue to coordinate with relevant units of the city, provinces, cities, and localities in the area to organize new and attractive tourism promotion activities and events to attract domestic and international tourists to the capital city.
