At the Ben Tre Safe and Delicious Fruit Festival 2019, to ensure an abundant supply of fruit for visitors, in addition to 15 commercial fruit stalls, the organizers also implemented 5 food stalls with a focus on a fruit buffet area. To date, many tickets for the fruit buffet have been pre-ordered by visitors through travel companies.
The Ben Tre Safe and Delicious Fruit Festival 2019 includes the following main activities: Opening ceremony, offering incense to the God of Agriculture, closing ceremony; competition for delicious and safe fruits; skillful craftsmanship competition; bonsai competition; thematic seminar on "Developing the Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village" and "Enhancing the value chain of Ben Tre's specialty fruits"; product display and introduction activities (exhibition of exotic plants, ornamental flowers, miniature landscapes and the Year of the Pig); commercial activities (Ben Tre specialty fruit stalls, seedling market, ornamental flower market).
At this year's Ben Tre Safe and Delicious Fruit Festival, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy Southern Vietnamese specialties and fresh fruits, participate in a delicious fresh fruit buffet in a cool, air-conditioned space, check in at the Hoi An ancient town lantern street in the heart of Cho Lach town and the Japanese cherry blossom space, and enjoy a dazzling and magical electric fireworks display on June 5th.
In addition, a spectacular comedy and music show will be held nightly on the main stage to entertain visitors, featuring renowned comedians such as Chí Tài, Kim Tiểu Long, Lâm Chấn Khang, Lâm Hùng, Thanh Duy, Quỳnh Trang – Phú Quý, Khổng Tử Quỳnh, Dương Hồng Loan, HKT group, Ân Thiện Vỹ, MC La Thoại Phi, and more.
To ensure the festival is organized professionally and creatively, creating a highlight that attracts tourists, delegates suggested that Cho Lach district should coordinate with and invite participation from other districts in the province to diversify fruit and vegetable products; develop tours and routes to serve visitors; and organize more community activities for people to participate in the festival, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Lap, Vice Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee, requested the Cho Lach District People's Committee to develop a plan based on feedback from provincial departments and agencies. The highlight of this year's festival is its connection to tourism development. Therefore, the organizing committee must conduct activities to attract tourists and, through the festival, promote the tourism potential of craft villages and riverine/garden tourism in Ben Tre province.
