The Thay Pagoda Festival was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, an important event, marking the unique historical and cultural value of the festival. This is the pride of the local people, contributing to promoting tourism and promoting the traditional culture of the nation.
This is one of the major festivals held in the region, attracting the participation of many local people and tourists from many different places. The highlight of the festival is the organization of unique and special traditional rituals such as the opening ceremony, bathing ceremony, the ceremony of welcoming the tablet, the opening ceremony and the procession of the villages to the main pagoda.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong presented the decision recognizing "Traditional Festival of Thay Pagoda, Sai Son Commune, Quoc Oai District" as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
In addition to the traditional ceremonies, the festival also offers a space to recreate the daily life and production of the community, along with traditional folk games. This creates a vibrant and attractive atmosphere, giving everyone the opportunity to experience and participate in local culture in an authentic and colorful way.
At the ceremony, people and tourists enjoyed the art program "Quoc Oai - Unleashing Heritage" with many unique art performances, such as: Tuong singing, Cheo singing, gong performances, puppetry... The performances were all carefully prepared, containing great values about the history, culture and people of Quoc Oai...
Many special performances contain historical, cultural and human values of Quoc Oai.
During the festival, at Thay Pagoda area, the Organizing Committee arranged 150 booths to introduce and promote cultural products, tourism, cuisine, craft village products, OCOP for visitors to visit and buy.
In addition, there are art performances, sports, fun experiences, folk games such as swinging, wrestling, enjoying cuisine, and watching the live performance "Quintessence of the North".
