More than just a characteristic spring flower of the North, for the people of Lang Son, peach blossoms have long been a familiar flower and a symbol of the strong and extraordinary vitality of this land at the northernmost tip of the country. Most people in Lang Son prefer peach branches that grow naturally without any intervention from gardeners.

In particular, peach blossom trees with unique and beautiful shapes are highly sought after by peach blossom enthusiasts. The most notable examples include the clustered peach blossom shape (consisting of a large, upright canopy surrounded by many smaller branches symbolizing family reunion), the five-blessing shape (with four branches below and one above), and the husband-wife shape (two branches intertwined)... Peach blossoms in Lang Son are very diverse, ranging from wild peach blossoms, cultivated peach blossoms, seven-inch peach blossoms, or even rarer ones like ancient trees hundreds of years old. Therefore, the types of blossoms are also abundant, including single-flowered peach blossoms, double-flowered peach blossoms, pink peach blossoms, light pink peach blossoms, and white peach blossoms…

2017 marked the first time the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival was held, with the message "Brilliant Peach Blossoms of Lang Son," taking place from January 20th to February 6th, 2017 (from the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Monkey to the 10th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Rooster) at Chi Lang Park, Hung Vuong Street, Lang Son City. The festival was organized into two spaces: a landscape area and a peach blossom exhibition. The landscape area was themed "Mountains - Rivers and Flowers," simulating Mau Son Snow Mountain, the Ky Cung River, and the flowers and people of Lang Son, combined with 120 beautiful peach blossom trees lining the Ky Cung River. In addition, the Peach Blossom Exhibition area featured a peach blossom-lined pathway with 65 trees participating in the exhibition.

This is considered an important event contributing to the preservation and promotion of the value of Lang Son's peach blossoms, establishing peach blossoms as an image and brand identity for Lang Son. Visiting the festival, tourists will have the opportunity to admire firsthand the precious peach varieties bestowed upon Lang Son by nature, and enjoy artistic performances reflecting the unique cultural identity of Lang Son, such as Then singing, Sli singing, street music, and attend the first expanded exhibition of beautiful peach blossom trees in Lang Son province.
