The first-ever New Zealand Experience Festival in Ho Chi Minh City.

02/06/2016

People in Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to experience New Zealand right in the heart of the city this weekend. This also marks the celebration of Air New Zealand's first direct flights connecting Auckland and Vietnam.

The New Zealand Experience Festival will be held from June 2nd to 4th on Nguyen Hue Street and is expected to attract thousands of attendees. City residents will have the opportunity to experience New Zealand wine production facilities in virtual reality, taste New Zealand food and drinks, learn about studying in New Zealand, and take photos with New Zealand's landmarks.

New Zealand's Consul General, Mr. Tony Martin, shared: "We are delighted to be able to celebrate the growing bond between New Zealand and Vietnam."

"Vietnam is New Zealand's fastest-growing export market. This growth is particularly strong, especially among markets seeking opportunities to study in top-tier international educational settings; and delicious, safe, traceable, and high-quality food and beverages," Mr. Martin added.

Vietnam has the second highest number of students studying in New Zealand among Southeast Asian countries, with over 2,000 Vietnamese students currently enrolled.

The opening ceremony will be held at 6:00 PM on June 2nd, with special guest and MC Nguyen Khang. Following that, the fair will be open twice daily, from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, from June 3rd to 4th, 2016. Admission to the fair is free.
