21/03/2018

With the theme "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Cuisine," the festival will take place from April 6-8 at Van Thanh Tourist Area, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to serve the needs of locals and international tourists who want to enjoy traditional dishes from all regions of the country.

Besides the main event, "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Cuisine," which introduces and prepares unique and exquisite dishes from all regions of Vietnam—North, Central, South, Northwest, Central Highlands, Southern Khmer, Cham, etc.—the festival also features demonstrations of traditional dishes honoring the finest aspects of Vietnamese cuisine. The Wax Museum will also display and introduce models of Vietnamese dishes from the Center for Research, Preservation and Development of Vietnamese Cuisine. This activity will recreate the daily life of rural markets, floating markets on the river, and performances of Southern Vietnamese folk music, Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk music, Soc Trang Khmer five-tone music, Cham dance, and more.

In particular, the Van Thanh tourist area is a well-known culinary destination for both domestic and international visitors. It's the birthplace of many large-scale cultural and culinary events, showcasing the finest aspects of Vietnamese cuisine and traditional arts and culture.
