In recent years, the cool summer air of Sapa has attracted many artists to this mountainous region as the forest foliage turns golden before the harvest season, from June onwards. During this year's Sapa Art Festival, artists also opened their personal studios to the public for visits, alongside an art exhibition at the Sapa Museum during the festival month. This is a rare opportunity to meet, interact, learn more about their creative work, and purchase valuable artworks.
A limited edition collection of prints and postcards will be available for sale at the Sapa Tourist Information Center throughout the Sapa Art Festival. All proceeds will go to students from the most disadvantaged schools.
The festival will take place from September 20th to October 18th, 2014 at the Sapa Tourism Information Center, Sapa Rooms, and various other locations in the town.
