The 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival carries the message "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai," conveyed through a series of highly interactive activities with the community such as: the Elegant Ao Dai Contest, the Beautiful Ao Dai Online Photo Contest, parades, and inspirational programs about Ao Dai.

The highlight of this year's Ao Dai Festival was the participation of image ambassadors and celebrities from various fields, along with 26 leading Ao Dai designers from across the country and internationally, bringing unique and creative Ao Dai designs to the festival. Seventeen collections by these designers were showcased on the opening night, leaving a beautiful impression on the audience.

The festival attendees included famous and influential figures from various fields such as Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H'Hen Niê, Meritorious Artist Kim Xuân, Meritorious Artist Trịnh Kim Chi, Meritorious Artist Quế Trân, businesswoman Nguyễn Thị Trang Phương, MC Quỳnh Hoa, Runner-up Lệ Hằng, Miss World Vietnamese Thái Nhiên Phương, singer Nguyễn Phi Hùng, singer Chí Thiện, actress Kim Tuyến, singer Kyo York, supermodel Hồ Đức Vĩnh, first prize winner of the 2018 Charming Ao Dai Contest in Ho Chi Minh City Mai Phương and Lương Văn Thêm. They all share a great love for the ao dai. These ao dai ambassadors donned the traditional garment of the nation as a statement and a way to further promote the image of the ao dai.

Besides its main purpose of promoting the Vietnamese ao dai brand, the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2019 also conveyed a positive message to the audience about environmental protection, working together to build a Green, Clean, and Beautiful City, and invited residents and tourists to participate in a mass ao dai performance on Nguyen Hue Walking Street.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2019 opened on March 2nd and will conclude on March 17th, 2019 with a closing ceremony held at Times Square Building, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
