The contest “Charming Ao Dai of Ho Chi Minh City VI 2019” is expected to attract the participation of many young people as well as foreign tourists to visit Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, thereby contributing to spreading the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai further and more widely to international friends.
Vietnamese Ao Dai is a famous brand in the world.
The preliminary round took place from February 16 to 20, 2019 at the Youth Cultural House. The semi-final round from February 23 to 26, 2019 will also take place at the same location. The final round and award ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on March 3, 2019 at Nguyen Hue walking street.
The contest is one of the activities within the framework of the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2019. This year's festival is held from March 2, 2019 to March 17, 2019, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, in which the Department of Tourism and the City Women's Union are the standing units responsible for coordinating with the city's departments, branches, sectors, unions and related units to implement.
Accompanying the Festival are Van Thinh Phat Group Joint Stock Company and Sunny World Investment and Development Joint Stock Company as exclusive sponsors for the Festival and Vietnam Signature Real Estate Management and Development Joint Stock Company as the coordinating organizer.
The 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2019 contributes to honoring Vietnamese Ao Dai
The Jury of the 6th "Ho Chi Minh City Charming Ao Dai 2019" Contest with the participation of: Designer Sy Hoang, Photographer Pham Hoai Nam, Director Le Nguyen Dat and a number of famous people. In addition to the main prizes with a total prize of over 300 million VND, the Organizing Committee will award secondary prizes such as: Most Impressive Ao Dai Award, Foreign Contestant Award with the Most Beautiful Ao Dai Costume, Oldest Contestant Award, Group Award with the Largest Number of Participants, Group Award with the Most Impressive Ao Dai Costume, Group Award with the Youngest Contestant, Family Award with the Largest Number of Members (of all generations).
The purpose of the contest is to create a healthy and useful cultural playground for city residents and international friends living and working in Vietnam, creating a spread in response to the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2019, thereby contributing to honoring Vietnamese Ao Dai.
