A shower of cash prizes at the "Charming Ao Dai of Ho Chi Minh City 2019" contest.

The "6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Beauty Contest 2019" is expected to attract the participation of many young people as well as foreign tourists visiting Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, thereby contributing to spreading the beauty of the Vietnamese Ao Dai further and wider to international friends.

The preliminary round took place from February 16th to 20th, 2019 at the Youth Cultural Center. The semi-final round, from February 23rd to 26th, 2019, will also be held at the same location. The final round and awards ceremony will take place at 7 PM on March 3rd, 2019 at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.

The competition is one of the activities within the framework of the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2019. This year's festival is held from March 2nd, 2019 to March 17th, 2019, organized by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union are the permanent units responsible for coordinating with city departments, agencies, organizations, and relevant units to implement the festival.

Accompanying the Festival are Van Thinh Phat Group Joint Stock Company and Sunny World Investment and Development Joint Stock Company as exclusive sponsors, and Vietnam Signature Real Estate Management and Development Joint Stock Company as the co-organizer.

The judging panel for the "6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Beauty Contest 2019" includes: Designer Sy Hoang, Photographer Pham Hoai Nam, Director Le Nguyen Dat, and several other famous personalities. In addition to the main prizes totaling over 300 million VND, the Organizing Committee will award supplementary prizes such as: Most Impressive Ao Dai, Best Foreign Contestant in Ao Dai, Oldest Contestant, Largest Group, Most Impressive Ao Dai Outfit, Youngest Contestant, and Family with the Most Members (across generations).

The purpose of the competition is to create a healthy and enriching cultural playground for the people of the city and international friends living and working in Vietnam, to spread awareness in response to the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2019, thereby contributing to honoring the Vietnamese Ao Dai.

Prize structure of the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Beauty Contest 2019:

Group A – Individual Group:

- 4 First Prizes: 20,000,000 VND/prize and a Certificate from the Competition Organizing Committee

- 4 Second Prizes: 10,000,000 VND/prize and a Certificate from the Competition Organizing Committee

- 4 Third Prizes: 5,000,000 VND/prize and a Certificate from the Competition Organizing Committee

- 10 Consolation Prizes: 3,000,000 VND/prize and a Certificate from the Competition Organizing Committee.
